† RALLY DAY/PIE AUCTION The annual Sunday School Rally Day and the LWML Pie Auction will be held next Sunday to kick off the new Sunday School year! This will include a potluck sponsored by the LWML. LWML plans to provide the meat dishes and encourages everyone to come and join us and bring a side to share. The 2024 Rally Day theme will be “Donut” Worry, Jesus Loves You. There is a sign-up sheet in the narthex for people who would like to donate a dozen donuts for Rally Day.
† JR CONFIRMATION Jr. Confirmation class will begin this Wednesday. It will start with a parent meeting at 6:30 pm downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Luther’s Small Catechism with Explanation will be provided to each new confirmand, but each student will need to bring their own Bible to class.
† TREASURER NOTE For the eight months ended this August, our paid expenses totaled $161,240 while our income totaled $149,163 leaving us a deficit of $12,077.
† MEALS ON WHEELS Good Shepherd will have two dates to deliver meals this month, Wednesday, September 4 & 25. If you would like to help with this or have questions please contact Sandy D.
† SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATION For the next few Sundays, Good Shepherd will be collecting school supplies for Immanuel Lutheran School in Lockwood. The items that would be most helpful include Expo erasers & markers, tissues, paper clips, staples, disinfectant wipes, Crayola water colors, college ruled notebooks, college & wide ruled loose leaf paper, multi colored cardstock paper, AA & AAA batteries, and $5-$10 gift card for teacher rewards. There’s a box in the narthex.
