GUEST PASTOR We extend our thanks to Pastor Lowell Rossow who will be leading us in worship again this morning while Pastor & Gerry are on vacation.  Pastor Rossow and Cynthia are retired and live in Stockton, MO.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS will be lead today by Darren Gallup.  Darren, a Lt. in the Joplin Police Department, will give a report of his experience on May 22, during the time of search and rescue, and the days that followed.  Thank you, Darren, for your willingness to share your experiences with us.

WE SALUTE YOU! Veterans Day, Nov. 11, is a holiday to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism and willingness to serve and sacrifice for our nation’s common good.  Thank you to all who served and are now serving our country.

IT’S A GSLC WORK DAY The Board of Trustees has announced a work day at the church for Saturday, Nov. 12.  Work will begin at 8:00 am and continue until ??? whenever.  There is both inside and outside work to be done, so we need everyone, ladies and men, to be willing to give of their time.  Outside work will consist of trimming, cutting and moving.  Inside work will be things like wiping down the pews, cleaning cabinets, etc.  Remember, more hands make for lighter work!

SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS/BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING On Sunday, Nov. 20, after the late service, there will be an important meeting for all the current teachers and board members.  Lunch will be provided.  Anyone interested in helping with the Christian education of our children by teaching or serving on the board are encouraged to attend.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the narthex after each service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.  We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.
