GUEST PASTOR We welcome and thank Pastor Lowell Rossow who will be leading us in worship today and next Sunday while Pastor is on vacation. Pastor Rossow and Cynthia are retired and live in Stockton, MO.
TRUSTEE MEETING TODAY The trustees will meet at 4:00 pm today before the Hobo Supper.
THE FALL PARTY, HAYRIDE and HOBO SUPPER is today. We will start making the stew around 5:00 pm. (To be ready to eat by 6:15.) Bring some of your own precooked stew, cooked veggies or meat to toss in the big black pot on the open fire. Please also bring a dessert to share. The hayride will begin at 5:45 pm and will be held at Jack H.’s home, 2 miles west of the church on Hwy 96, house is on the right. (Balloons on the mailbox will mark his lane.) After we’ve enjoyed the hayride, we’ll head back to the church to partake of the now simmering hobo stew, and the children will begin to enjoy their Fall Party. They are welcome to dress up in a friendly costume if they want. There will be games to play & special treats handed out to all the children.
BAPTIZED We rejoice with Amber H. who’s daughter, Trinity Dawn, was baptized last Sunday during the worship service. Trinity was born Oct. 20. Her sponsors are Sonny & Gloria E. Her maternal grandmother is Kathy M., and her maternal great-grandparents are Bud & Ruby S.
PASTOR AND GERRY ON VACATION IN ARIZONA Pastor & Gerry will be on vacation until Nov. 7. Pastor will again be playing in the Senior Major League Baseball Tourney in AZ. If you are in need of pastoral care, please contact the church office or call Earl K.
LADIES OF THE CONGREGATION You are all invited to attend the LWML Fall Zone Rally here at Good Shepherd this Sat. Registration begins at 9:30 am, and the Rally will begin at 10:00 am. We are the host society and invite you, our fellow Sisters in Christ, to join us. The Shepherd’s Own and the Shepherd Strings will also take part in this day. Pastor Gene Wyssmann, from Springfield, will be the guest speaker. The Rally theme is We are all Christ’s Ambassadors. Lunch will be served.
INGATHERING FOR RALLY The congregation is invited to join the LWML in donating items for the LWML Fall Rally Ingathering next Sat. Each society of the zone has been asked to gather NEW, larger Christmas decorations (such as wreaths, nativity sets, centerpieces). These items will to be given to the many Immanuel Lutheran families who were impacted by the Joplin tornado. Your donation would help replace the many Christmas items that were lost or destroyed.

ADULT BIBLE CLASS next Sunday will be lead by Darren G. Darren, a Lt. in the Joplin Police Department, will give a report of his experience on May 22, during the time of search and rescue, and the days that followed.
CROSSLINES CANNED GOODS Please remember to bring non-perishable items to donate to Crosslines. You can place your donation in the round container in the narthex, or in the shopping basket in the entry way to the fellowship hall. Any and all donations are greatly needed and very appreciated.
ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers. They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.
TAPES OF THE SERVICE Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday. They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex. Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.
