GSLC’S OWN, THE SHEPHERD’S OWN, will be singing at the Maple Leaf Festival Gospel Sing on Wednesday.  The Gospel Sing is one of the major events of the Maple Leaf Festival.  The event begins at 7:00 pm at the Carthage R-9 Auditorium.

MEN’S CAMPING RETREAT If you are looking for a fun weekend of camping and fishing, then please join us for a men’s camping trip the weekend of Oct. 14-16.  We’ll be going to Dale & LeeAnn B.’ property located just south of Lockwood.  There is a large stocked pond for a day of fishing from the bank.  Campers are welcome, but there is no electric hookup.  Contact Dale, or Paul R., with any questions.  There is a sign up sheet in the narthex.  Hope to see you there.

ALL GOD’S PEOPLE SING The hymn book All God’s People Sing has been returned to the pews.  They weren’t used after we purchased the new pews because the hymn racks were not large enough to hold both hymn books.  In order to utilize the additional hymns in AGPS, we have put them on the pew seats until larger hymnal racks can be made.

CROSSLINES CANNED GOODS Please remember to bring non-perishable items to donate to Crosslines.  You can place your donation in the round container in the narthex, or in the shopping basket in the entry way to the fellowship hall.  Any and all donations are greatly needed and very appreciated.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the narthex after each service.  You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.  We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

TAPES OF THE SERVICE Audio tapes of the service are available after the 8:15 am service each Sunday.  They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.  Tapes of the previous Sunday are also available.
