MID-WEEK SCHOOL Plans are also being made to have a Wednesday Mid-Week School for all ages of children.  They will meet the same time as the Confirmation class.  The lessons would coordinate with the Sunday School lessons and would include an activity.  There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex if you are interested in your child/children attending.

SPECIAL EVENTS ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 Be sure and note the special events scheduled for Sunday, September 11:
+  ONE WORSHIP SERVICE We are planning just one fellowship worship service on this Sunday at 10:45 am.  This will give everyone in the congregation a chance to meet each other.  Since the Sunday School Rally Day theme is “Roundup”, everyone is invited to wear casual clothes.   We also will be asking everyone to wear a name tag that Sunday.
+  SUNDAY SCHOOL RALLY DAY The Sunday School will have their Rally Day this Sunday.  It’s when everyone moves up a class and the Fall program begins.  There will also be rides, games, and all kinds of active ties for the children after the noon meal.
+  FRIED CHICKEN DINNER A congregation fried chicken dinner will be served after the worship service for all to enjoy. Be sure an mark you calendars now, and join in on this special Fellowship Sunday.  More information will be in the Sept. issue of the Shepherd’s Staff.

CROSSLINES CANNED GOODS Please remember to bring non-perishable items to donate to Crosslines.  You can place your donation in the round container in the narthex, or in the shopping basket in the entry way to the fellowship hall.  Any donation is greatly needed and very appreciated.

CONSTITUTION CHANGES Because of a lack of a quorum at the Voters’ Meeting to change the constitution, a special voters’ meeting has been called for Sunday, August 28, after each service to vote on the proposed constitutional changes.  The changes are posted on the table as you enter the sanctuary.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you can control the volume.

PRAYER BEARS are in the sanctuary pews and available to be signed out (notebook in narthex) and given to anyone that needs God’s love, comfort, and peace.  We have had reports and words of thanks from folks being blessed by this outreach ministry.
