TRUSTEES’ MEETING The church trustees will meet this afternoon at 4:15.

DESSERT & SERVANT AUCTION  The Youth Group will be hosting a Dessert and Servant Auction this evening at 5:00 pm.  Please bring your scrumptious dessert to be auctioned off to the highest bidder.  Additionally, each Youth Group member will be auctioned off for 4 hours worth of work.  The YG members are good at painting, cleaning, yard work, etc…  Additionally, the event is being hosted by the award winning Keith Z.  There is a church member who has graciously offered to match $ for $ up to $1,000.00.  This should be lots of fun, so you won’t want to miss it.  Hey! How Much Will Ya Give Me For It??

VOTERS’ MEETING  The voters will meet this evening at 7:00 pm.  Come participate in the Youth Dessert & Servant Auction and stay for the meeting.

ALL GRADUATES  If you are graduating from high school or college this spring, please submit a short bio and picture to the church office by April 26th.  We want to acknowledge you in the May issue of the Shepherd’s Staff.  Parents, we may need your help with this; we don’t want to leave anyone out.  You may also e-mail your photo and bio to Mary at mlparks@ecarthage.com or to the church e-mail at goodshepherd@ecarthage.com.

SOFTBALL  The co-ed team will play Monday evening at 8:30.  The men’s team will play Tuesday evening at 6:30.  Come and help cheer on the home teams!  GO TEAMS!

LWML MISSOURI DISTRICT 21ST BIENNIAL CONVENTION, “Beautiful Feet, Led by God”, will be held June 11-13th at University Plaza Hotel in Springfield.  The registration cost is $50.00, if postmarked on or before May 8th; meals, tours, etc. are available for additional fees. Registration forms can be found on the table in the narthex.  If you plan to attend, please contact Corinne Waggoner.

ALTAR FLOWERS  If you would like to place flowers at the altar for a special occasion, in loving memory of someone, or in thankfulness, please write your name, phone number, and the occasion on the flower chart in the narthex.  If you order or purchase your flowers from 4-All Seasons Florists, 358-5828, or Third Day Creations, 237-0939, they will deliver here to the church and you will also receive a 10 % discount.  Any questions, contact Betty K.

KID KITS  In the narthex are a number of bags containing crayons, coloring books, picture books and other items of interest for young children.  You are welcome to use them for your little ones.  Please return the “kid kit” after the service.

BLOOD PRESSURE  The opportunity to have your blood pressure taken and recorded after each service is available in the nurse’s office located off the narthex.  You will be given a card to carry with you to record your readings.

TAPES & CDS OF THE SERVICE  Audio tapes and CDs of the service are available after the 8:15 a.m. service each Sunday.  They are located in the glassed-door cabinet in the narthex.  The previous Sunday’s are also available.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING  If you are having a hard time hearing the service, assistive listening devices are available from the ushers.  They work like a transistor radio and you control the volume.
