Hymnals

In 2007 Good Shepherd purchased new hymnals, “Lutheran Service Book” to replace the “The Lutheran Hymnal” (Red Hymnal). The new hymnals were purchased primarily with contributions designated for the cause.  The new hymnals are easy to read. The old hymnals were given to church members and donated for missions. Good Shepherd also uses the “All God’s People Sing” song book regularly.

Work to begin soon

We will have groundbreaking for the new building expansion Easter Sunday, at 10:00 a.m.

Work on the project will begin soon. The septic tank will have to be moved before any kind of excavation work can begin. It is located right where the new expansion will be built.

After that, site work will be that of getting ready for the concrete work: pouring the footings, the foundation, and the basement floor slab.

As work begins on the building project, we do so with the prayer that God blesses our work to His glory

Health

Good Shepherd has a Parish Nursing program. Nurses make home visits to the ill and shut-in. Blood pressure and weight checks are available.

Good Shepherd recently acquired a defibrillator to keep in the church. The device has voice instructions to make it easy to use in case of an emergency.

BLOOD PRESSURE CHECKS are available in the narthex after each service. You will be given a small form that can be carried in your wallet which will include medical information and a log of your blood pressure readings.
